The Ackerman Group is celebrating more than 95 years of business, having grown from a small costume jewellery company in Whitechapel to a leading importer of giftware, home accessories, toys, stationery, Regency Fine Arts and most recently the Westwoods range of gardening products.
The Company has changed considerably since David Ackerman (senior) arrived from Poland in 1910 and started his business. Today, based at Chingford in North East London, the Ackerman Group is run by the third generation of the family, with 10,000 square feet of offices and showrooms on site, and a further 200,000 square feet of storage space at an offsite location in East Anglia.
It has become a multi-million pound operation which is respected by customers and suppliers alike for its fair and ethical approach to business.
The Ackerman Group supplies a broad range of businesses: cash and carry and traditional wholesalers, multiple retailers, department stores, mail order, party plan companies, theme parks, zoos and garden centres. Buyers are welcomed at the company's showrooms in London, or are visited regularly by their enthusiastic Sales Team. In addition, Ackerman's are a committed exhibitor at numerous trade exhibitions.
The team endeavours to develop a particularly close relationship with its customers.
